Gravity Maze is a personal Think Fun favorite of ours here at Puzzle iD. This takes the concept of a maze and adds gravity and a third dimension! Choose one of 60 cards ranging from easy to very challenging. The card will display an initial setup of pieces. You are also given prompts for pieces that must be placed on the board. The goal is to drop a metal ball at the highest point of the maze and have it fall and tumble through the path you have created to the red finish piece. Gravity Maze rewards forward thinking and a fundamental understanding of how each piece can be used. The solution is typically hard earned but always satisfying!

We find the Soma Cube to be a great desktop puzzle. Of course, we could probably benefit with less desktop distractions to pull us from work! The Soma Cube is a gift to Tetris lovers. Insert the wand in the top of the egg and navigate to the base. Red Dragon is a two layer egg. This means that the top and bottom move separately, leading to many possible combinations to get in the way of your solution! This egg is easily packed for solvers on the go and makes a great garnish at the work desk.
What is there to say about a 2x2 cube? From first observation it appears to be cute and harmless. Just know the exterior can be quite deceiving! Although it takes fewer moves to solve than a 3x3 cube it makes sure every move counts! This means that each move must be precise and perfectly led into the next. Take your time in learning this one and you'll find it is well worth the effort. We decided to go with the 2x2 cube by D-FantiX due to its solid construction and stickerless design. We love the smooth action and anti-pop technology. This means more time solving! The 2x2 is small and great for on the go puzzling.
Hanayama continues to produce some of the best puzzles we have ever seen. Nutcase is no exception! This is a difficult brainteaser that requires patience and keen attention to very fine detail. The appearance is a traditional set of nuts and bolts. Use this knowledge to your advantage but don't get to caught up on how these things normally function. Can you free the nut from its case?

This Pyramid Cube by Dreampark deserves a double take. Be prepared to rethink your strategy for the cube category. We will admit the movements with this one are a bit counter intuitive at first but once you figure out the tricks it becomes quite addicting! Dreampark has created a speed cube with smooth action and great durability. If you haven't tried out this 4 sided variety be sure to add it to your queue!
In the puzzle world there are certain classics. They come in all shapes but the principles are the same. The Hanayama Key is the perfect h'omage to the puzzlers hall of fame. A simple look of two objects held together by a single, clever trick. To some these "classic" moves appear obvious. To the new solver, however, these tricks are critical to moves in future puzzles! Perhaps the name Key has more than one meaning in that regard. This beautiful, well cast puzzle is a good look in any collection.
